Geotechnical Engineer - Engineer Level

Overview

In this Geotechnical Engineer role, you contribute to the delivery of infrastructure projects through geotechnical design, ground investigations, and technical reporting. You join a multi-disciplinary team to produce high-quality engineering outcomes and maintain strict health, safety, and environmental standards. You will engage with clients and partners, shaping solutions that support sustainable built and natural environments.

• Prepare geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports compliant with project standards
• Design and implement ground investigations and geotechnical solutions
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality engineering outcomes
• Build strong relationships with clients, project partners, and colleagues
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed
• Pursue professional development with guidance from experienced colleagues
• Manage project components and ensure clear communication and timely delivery

• Degree (MEng/MSc) in Civil Engineering (with geotechnical bias)
• +3 years’ experience in geotechnical design and/or site investigations
• Experience with geotechnical software (VDISP/PDISP, WALLAP, REPUTE, Slope/W) and MS Office
• Strong numerical and written communication skills for reports
• Enthusiasm for learning, problem-solving, and teamwork
• Willingness to travel and work on-site
• Full, valid UK driving licence
