Associate - Direct Tax Professional

We are looking for a tax professional to support our corporate taxation team in managing tax compliance, assessments, litigation support, and advisory matters. The role offers exposure to direct tax compliances, tax audits, appeals, cross-border transactions, and corporate tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle scrutiny assessments, prepare responses to notices, and liaise with tax authorities.
• Prepare and file appeals before CIT(A) and ITAT, including drafting written submissions.
• Provide advisory services on corporate taxation, HNI tax planning, corporate structuring, and transaction advisory matters.
• Manage direct tax compliances, including filing of income tax returns, tax audits, and certifications relating to cross-border transactions (Form 15CB).
• Support trust assessments, payroll structuring initiatives, and interactions with the Income Tax Department.
• Work closely with auditors in reviewing tax computations, deferred tax positions, and tax litigation matters.
• Collaborate with legal counsels in preparing submissions for tax appeals and writ petitions before the High Court.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in corporate taxation, tax litigation, and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the Income-tax Act, tax assessment procedures, appellate proceedings, tax audits, and cross-border taxation.
• Experience in handling representations before tax authorities and coordinating with legal and audit teams.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
