We're hiring: Video Editor — AI-Enabled | Ignite Academy

Ignite Academy has spent over a decade helping Maharashtra's aspirants crack MPSC, TET, Police Bharti, RRB, SSC and Saralseva. 200+ people. Three offices. Lakhs of students who trust us with the most important exam of their lives.

Our classrooms are strong. Now we're building the content engine to match — and we need an editor who edits with AI, not despite it.

The role

You'll own the cutting room for everything we publish: YouTube long-form, Shorts and Reels, lecture recordings, student success stories, launch films and ad creatives. Volume is real, deadlines are real, and the work reaches students across Maharashtra every single day.

What you'll do

• Edit long-form lectures and strategy videos into tight, watchable content
• Turn one long video into 5–10 Shorts/Reels using AI clipping tools — and know which cuts will actually perform
• Build accurate Marathi and Hindi subtitles at speed (Marathi accuracy is non-negotiable — auto-generated output has to be checked, not trusted)
• Design thumbnails and title cards, and iterate them based on CTR
• Use AI to compress the boring parts of the workflow: transcription, rough cuts, silence removal, background cleanup, rotoscoping, upscaling
• Maintain a clean asset library and consistent brand grammar across every channel
• Work directly with faculty and the content team on shoot days

The AI stack (you don't need all of it — but you need to be fluent in this way of working)

• Google Gemini and Veo/Flow for generation, scripting support and ideation
• Adobe Premiere Pro AI features — text-based editing, Enhance Speech, Generative Extend — or DaVinci Resolve equivalents
• Auto-clipping and repurposing tools: Opus Clip, CapCut, Vizard
• Subtitling and captions: Submagic, Captions, Whisper-based workflows
• Voice, dubbing and translation: ElevenLabs, HeyGen
• Thumbnail and image generation: Midjourney, Nano Banana, Ideogram or similar

What we're looking for

• 2–4 years editing video professionally, with a reel we can watch
• Command over Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects basics
• Genuine curiosity about AI tools — you try new ones without being told to
• Marathi or Hindi language comfort (a big advantage for our audience)
• Speed without sloppiness. We publish daily.

Good to have

• EdTech, coaching or creator-economy experience
• Motion graphics and sound design
• Understanding of what makes a YouTube video get watched, not just get made
