Overview

In this role you will join a leading national commercial team to advise on regulatory issues across food, consumer protection, digital, e-commerce, advertising and related areas. You’ll focus on digital and product regulation, labelling and advertising, with a mix of advisory work and some regulatory investigations. The role supports growth of a dedicated regulatory practice working with international lawyers on cross-border matters in food, beverage, technology, and beyond.

You’ll have the chance to shape guidance for clients launching products or entering new markets, in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on regulatory issues across food, consumer protection, digital, e-commerce, anti-discrimination and advertising law
  • Handle regulatory investigations and regulatory enforcement actions
  • Provide risk-based, pragmatic regulatory advice and solutions
  • Work on multi-jurisdictional projects with international lawyers
  • Assist clients launching new products or entering new markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver regulatory strategy across sectors
Key requirements
  • 4+ years post qualification experience
  • Experience at a large regional, national or international firm
  • Strong technical skills in regulatory law with interest in food/beverage, education and/or technology sectors
  • Commercial astuteness and ability to grow own practice
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail
  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills
  • Self-starter with initiative and good team/communication skills
  • Good research skills and ability to use online information sources
