Junior Accountant

Overview

In this role you will join a growing international business in London as a Part-Qualified Accountant. You’ll gain breadth across month-end, reporting, treasury and finance systems, working closely with the Finance Manager to support the finance function. You’ll own key accounting processes and help improve systems and controls in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day purchase-to-pay and accounts payable process
• Code and approve invoices with internal stakeholders
• Review payment runs and maintain financial controls
• Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Support audit preparation and provide financial information as required
• Maintain accurate accounting records across the business
• Assist with implementation and improvement of finance systems and processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes
• Provide support to the Finance Manager on day-to-day activities and projects

• Actively studying ACCA, CIMA or AAT
• Solid experience in a finance or accounting environment
• Experience across core accounting processes
• Good knowledge of double-entry accounting
• Exposure to AP / purchase-to-pay
• Strong Excel skills
• Good attention to detail

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team
