Job DescriptionProduct Applications Specialist HVAC About the Role We are seeking a technically minded Product Applications Specialist with an electrical or building services background to provide product application advice and technical guidance across a range of electrical heating, ventilation and energy-efficient products. Working with electrical contractors, wholesalers, consultants and internal teams, you'll support product selection, deliver training and contribute to new product introductions, playing a key role in delivering excellent technical customer support Key Responsibilities Provide technical product and application advice for a range of electrical heating, ventilation and energy-efficient products. Assist customers, installers, electrical contractors, consultants and wholesalers with product selection, specifications, installation guidance and troubleshooting.
Respond to technical enquiries by phone and email, providing practical, solution-focused advice. Prepare technical specifications, supporting documentation and quotation information. Produce AutoCAD drawings and technical layouts where required.
Support the sales team by recommending suitable products and technical solutions for customer projects. Design and deliver product training for customers, distributors, sales teams and internal colleagues across Ireland and the UK. Develop and maintain technical literature, installation guides, presentations and training materials.
Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Quality teams to ensure technical information remains accurate and up to date. Assist with product evaluations, returns investigations and continuous product improvement initiatives. Contribute technical expertise to new product launches and the ongoing development of the product portfolio.
Support general sales administration and order processing when required. Requirements Electrical qualification, apprenticeship or relevant experience within the electrical or building services industry. Experience working for an electrical manufacturer, distributor or wholesaler.
Knowledge of electrical heating, ventilation, HVAC, controls or energy-efficient technologies. AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience. Experience working with electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC or related building services products.
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, customer-focused approach.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Competent in Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Experience delivering product training or technical presentations.
