Tabla Teacher

A reputed CBSE school in Dwarka, Delhi is looking to onboard a Tabla Teacher to train students in Tabla and support the school's music programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular Tabla classes for school-age children across relevant grades
• Design age-appropriate lesson plans to build rhythm, technique, and musical understanding
• Prepare students for stage performances, annual functions, and choir accompaniments
• Train and mentor students participating in inter-school music competitions
• Coordinate with the music department for integrated performances and events
• Maintain and manage musical instruments and equipment used for Tabla training
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school management
• Support school events requiring musical accompaniment throughout the academic year

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Music (specifically in Tabla) from a recognized university
• Diploma or certificate in music from a state or central government-recognized institution
• B.Ed. degree preferred, though not mandatory for specialized music/activity teachers
• 2 to 5 years of practical teaching experience, specifically training school-age children
• Experience in event management, including preparing students for stage performances, annual functions, choir accompaniments, and inter-school music competitions
• Strong stage presence and ability to manage group performances
• Patience, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to engage young learners
