Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Career Readiness

Location: India (Remote)

Availability requirement: Minimum 20-30 hours per week


Required Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's in Career & Technical Education (CTE), Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field.


Required Skills

  • Knowledge of career planning, workforce readiness, and employability skills.
  • Understanding of career pathways and workplace expectations.
  • Familiarity with resume writing, interview preparation, and career development.
  • Ability to align instructional materials with CTE standards.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in the assigned career cluster.
  • Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, or educational publishing.
  • Knowledge of state standards, curriculum correlation, and standards mapping.
  • Ability to review instructional materials for technical accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality educational content.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review career readiness content for instructional effectiveness.
  • Conduct state standards mapping and curriculum correlation review against state and national standards.
  • Evaluate workplace scenarios and employability resources.
  • Review SBs for technical accuracy, pedagogy, and grade-level appropriateness.
  • Review multimedia assets, including images, videos, animations, and interactives, for subject accuracy and instructional effectiveness.
  • Identify content gaps, inconsistencies, and required revisions.
  • Verify assessments, career planning activities, and learning objectives for alignment and rigor.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, editors, and media teams.
  • Participate in review meetings, team calls, and project discussions.
  • Ensure high-quality, standards-aligned content prior to final publication.
