Job Description
As a Store Manager, your role as a 'shopkeeper' means you run your store with an entrepreneurial spirit, prioritising your customers, colleagues and local communities. You will lead your team to ensure the store is a great place for people to work and shop, reporting to the Area Manager. Responsibilities Lead a team to create a culture where our customer experience is the best in the market, in line with the Morrisons brand, and continuously seek new ways to serve customers better.
Drive the store’s commercial performance, treating it as if it were your own business and always finding ways to improve the offering. Lead all people activities, including recruitment, induction, training and development, building an inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to deliver great customer service. Build and manage relationships, understanding the important role the store plays in supporting the local community.
Oversee store operations and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Qualifications Prior experience in fast‑paced, service‑focused environments such as retail, convenience, or hospitality. A passion for spotting and developing talent and a proven ability to coach, motivate and inspire a team.
Strong influence, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to understand different perspectives and think broadly about new ways of doing things. A willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team in delivering store objectives. High resilience and the ability to work through problems.

Early mornings, late nights and weekends are typical, and flexibility is required.
