Overview

In this role you drive revenue by developing social events, private events, MICE and Barnaby's activations for Mercure & Ibis London Earl’s Court. You will work with cross-functional teams to convert opportunities and position Barnaby’s as a premier destination for private hire and celebrations. You’ll balance new business development with account management and uphold hotel standards across the guest journey.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities across social events, Barnaby's activations, private events, MICE, agencies, associations, residential meetings and event-led opportunities
  • Generate new enquiries for Barnaby's and the hotel, driving MICE and residential meeting business
  • Develop Barnaby's as a destination for private hire, networking events, brand activations and social gatherings
  • Maximise room sales and incremental revenue across F&B, Barnaby's and MICE
  • Achieve sales targets and manage an account portfolio to retain and grow revenue
  • Build relationships with agencies, DMCs, associations, event planners and local businesses
  • Target sectors including healthcare, automotive, energy, experiential events, and brand activations
  • Support promotion of Barnaby's through partnerships, campaigns and B2B outreach
  • Prepare reports on sales activity, appointments, account development and opportunities
  • Maintain CRM data and market intelligence; participate in sales meetings and travel as required
  • Carry out other duties as requested by senior sales leadership
Key requirements
  • Experience in hospitality sales, events or MICE is essential
  • Proven ability to identify and close new business opportunities
  • Strong relationship-building with agencies, event planners and clients
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel for domestic and international sales trips
  • Knowledge of Barnaby's and hotel facilities is advantageous
