We Are Hiring: Manager - Car Rental Services at 18 Travels Location: Pune Send CV: Role Overview As the Manager of Car Rental Services at 18 Travels, you will oversee the entire operations process, ensuring smooth fleet management, high customer satisfaction, efficient operations, and business growth. This includes managing bookings, vehicle scheduling, driver coordination, client servicing, billing, and compliance matters. You will work closely with clients, drivers, vendors, and internal teams to provide transportation solutions for corporate clients, airport services, weddings, city trips, and outstation travel.
Primary Responsibilities * Oversee daily car rental operations, managing bookings, dispatches, and customer service activities. * Manage fleet availability, vehicle scheduling, and maintenance to ensure continuous operations. * Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations and insurance requirements. * Coordinate driver staffing, trip arrangements, and ensure timely service delivery. * Monitor booking status, trip schedules, customer demands, and resolve issues. * Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations to maintain high levels of satisfaction. * Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel coordinators, and business partners. * Drive business development by discovering new customers and strengthening existing relationships. * Coordinate with vendors, garage services, fuel suppliers, and other service providers. * Handle invoicing, record keeping, and follow-ups on customer payments. * Ensure transparency in billing and documentation of trip-related details. * Manage costs related to fueling, servicing, tolls, driver wages, and fleet utilization. * Prepare operational reports covering bookings, vehicle usage, revenue, customer feedback, and efficiency. * Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and regulatory requirements. * Take control in emergencies, vehicle breakdowns, and customer complaints. * Supervise and motivate the operations team, including drivers. Secondary Responsibilities * Work with accountants for billing reconciliation and accounting tasks. * Assist with recruitment and training of drivers and operational staff. * Review and enhance operational systems to improve efficiency, customer service, and cost control. * Document fleet-related information, insurance policies, permits, and customer data. * Collaborate with management to plan and expand business operations. * Engage with customers, vendors, and stakeholders during reviews and meetings. Reporting Mechanism * Daily: Updates on bookings, vehicle deployment, driver assignments, and any operational issues. * Weekly: Reports on fleet usage, customer feedback, service efficiency, and maintenance details. * Monthly: Business performance, customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and new business developments. * Escalations: Immediate escalation of customer complaints, vehicle breakdowns, compliance issues, or risks.
