Business Analyst

Title: Business Analyst Location: Hyderabad/ Bangalore/Pune Exp: 10+ years Job Description: Define and document Business Goals, Business Objectives, and Business Impact Statements in alignment with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements. Conduct current state analysis, gap analysis, and future state mapping to support AI/ML and digital transformation initiatives. Lead the creation of comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), and System Requirements Specifications (SRS).

Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define and maintain Product Goals, Initiatives, Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks. Drive Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Review sessions to ensure clarity, prioritization, and alignment. Apply Prompt Engineering techniques in AI-driven projects, helping optimize prompts for business-facing LLM applications and model interactions.

Maintain and manage traceability matrices to track requirements from conception through to implementation and validation. Partner with business and technical teams to ensure all requirements are value-driven, feasible, and AI-ready. Perform data analysis and profiling to support AI/ML initiatives, working with large and complex datasets from systems like banking, insurance or logistics systems (claims data, transactions, underwriting data, etc.).

Collaborate with AI/ML teams on problem framing, feature engineering requirements, model evaluation criteria, and business validation of AI outputs. Contribute to AI/ML project lifecycle stages: Business Understanding & Problem Definition, Data Collection & Preparation, Model Design & Validation Requirements, Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) & Deployment Readiness, Post-deployment Business Monitoring and Feedback. Author and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Use Cases, User Manuals, and Release Notes.

Capture business rules, data dictionaries, and AI model governance guidelines in collaboration with data scientists and compliance teams.. Act as a liaison between business users, AI/ML engineers, data scientists, product managers, and development teams. Organize and lead stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, UAT demos, and executive briefings.

Foster strong partnerships across product, technology, operations, and compliance teams. Technical Skills : 6+ years of business analysis experience, preferably with AI/ML-driven projects. Mandatory experience in Banking Services and/or Insurance and/or Logistics Deep knowledge of AI Model Development Life Cycle (AI/ML lifecycle management).

Proven experience in creating and managing Product Goals, Initiatives, Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks in Agile tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, and GitLab. Solid experience in Prompt Engineering fundamentals, AI prompt design, and AI/LLM integrations in enterprise use cases. Expertise in writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.

Strong data analysis skills (SQL querying, data profiling, reporting, and visual analysis) OTHER SKILLS WE'D APPRECIATE Exposure to AI/ML frameworks, LLM tools, and MLOps processes. Familiarity with Binary preference scoring, credit scoring models, claims automation or underwriting platforms. Experience in working with API documentation and integrations.

Knowledge of process modeling tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro) EDUCATION QUALIFICATION Graduate in Computer Science or AI and ML Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. AI/ML, Prompt Engineering, or Data Science certifications are an advantage Process Skills: General SDLC processes, AI/ML development life cycles, and Agile delivery methodologies Understanding of utilizing Agile and Scrum software development methodologies Skill in gathering and documenting user requirements and writing technical specifications. Behavioral Skills: Good Attitude and Quick learner.

Well-developed design, analytical & problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent team player, able to work with virtual teams. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal management supervision. Certification: Certifications like CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or SAFe POPM would be an added advantage.
