You have hands-on experience improving, crafting, articulating, and coding iterative improvements to existing systems. You work smart-leveraging the latest tools to their full potential and extending them where they add true value and efficiency. You lead by example in the codebase-writing production-quality code, conducting thorough code reviews, and setting a high bar for craftsmanship.
You're passionate about mentoring engineers, helping them grow through feedback, pairing, and shared ownership of solutions. What You'll Be Doing Partnering with Engineering and Product leads to design services that are robust, decoupled, and ready for change. Acting as a Technical Lead within the product team-guiding design discussions, reviewing code, and ensuring engineering best practices are upheld. Contributing directly to the codebase-building critical features, tackling complex problems, and modeling strong engineering discipline.
Mentoring engineers through regular feedback, code reviews, and technical coaching-raising the bar across the team. Driving consistency in patterns, testing strategies, and development workflows within the team. Supporting delivery by breaking down complex initiatives, identifying risks early, and helping the team execute with clarity and focus.
Your Background Includes 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in an Technical Lead or Senior Engineer role. Deep hands-on experience designing APIs, integrating systems, and building for scale in cloud-native environments. A track record of driving architectural decisions across multiple services and squads.
Proficiency in system decomposition, event-driven design, and modern development practices like CI/CD, containerization, and observability. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Experience That's a Plus Hands-on experience with NestJS, TypeScript, Postgres, DynamoDB, AWS, and EventBridge.
Familiarity with multi-tenant systems or product-as-a-service patterns. Exposure to hospitality, foodservice, or commerce-related platforms. Experience contributing to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), RFCs, or design standards across teams.
