Design Director(Architecture)

Role Over view: Design Director (Architecture) for the Lifestyle and Mixed-Use Office Building practice of an international Design firm with multiple offices across the globe. The Design Director will provide creative and design process leadership to multiple design teams through all phases of client projects for the Lifestyle and Mixed-Use Office Building practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creative efforts on architecture projects, developing overall design concepts and

design presentation strategies & be an integral part in the growth and success of projects.

• As a member of a studio’s leadership team, collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to

enhance the company's culture for design excellence, elevate the quality of design, and achieve

recognition for clients and the firm.

• Mentor and lead design teams, develop next-generation talent, bring new approaches to the design process.
• Build, nurture and foster new relationships with a broad client base & participate in business development efforts.
• Act as the primary design interface with clients, team members, and a wide range of consultants and collaborators, both internal and external.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management skills; able to rally teams

around design intent and to effectively meet deliverables.

• 18+ years of related experience, with a strong background in high-end commercial office building (COB) projects of at least 8 to 10 years. Ability to handle a variety of project types and complexities (not just limited to commercial office building ).
• Understanding of master planning concepts and expertise with handling site planning for all

architectural projects is a must.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Master’s from a reputed

University preferred. Architectural licensure & LEED accreditation preferred.

• Revit skills are highly valued and knowledge of other software: Rhino, Grasshopper, VR, Revit,

Sketch-up will be preferred.
