Overview

In this role, you will drive delegate sales and VIP attendance for ITC events, aligning senior industry attendees with Clarion’s portfolio. You will collaborate with marketing and content teams to secure the right audience, while delivering high-touch, consultative engagement with insurers, MGAs, brokers and investors. The role is fast-paced and growth-oriented, with international travel and a focus on revenue and audience development.

You will shape attendee ecosystems and contribute to the success of ITC London and ITC Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Securing buy-side VIP attendees and delegate sales revenue across ITC events (insurers, MGAs, brokers and investors)
  • Selling over the phone to existing and new clients to meet revenue and VIP recruitment targets for ITC London and ITC Europe (Barcelona)
  • Building and maintaining client relationships through a consultative sales approach to demonstrate event value
  • Ensuring VIPs attend sponsored roundtables, dinners and breakfasts
  • Meeting weekly and monthly outreach targets by audience group and seniority
  • Identifying new leads and industry sub-sectors to target for additional revenue streams
  • Upselling delegate places to sponsors and exhibitors
  • Staying informed on market developments to identify growth areas for sales
  • Ensuring accurate information for pipeline and weekly meetings
  • Attending industry and VIP functions; international travel expected
  • Sharing intelligence and feedback with the team in a timely manner
  • Representing ITC and Clarion professionally at all times
Key requirements
  • Experience in selling delegate spaces and/or sponsorship/media sales
  • Experience in high-volume media/event sales
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • First-class English skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of the full sales cycle
  • Ability to generate business leads through primary and secondary research
  • Ability to prioritise leads and maximise revenue
  • Build client relationships in short and long term
  • Commercially minded with opportunity spotting
  • Experience with Salesforce and Pardot is preferable
  • Industry knowledge is preferable but not essential
  • Strong communication and consultative selling
  • Relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Ambitious self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced team
