Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Compensation: $110,972 - $119,576 package includes salary ($97,771 - $105,290), employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the Role

The Accountant, Financial Reporting will support the financial control & treasury team in all respects, including accounting, measurement, and statutory/internal reporting. Responsibilities include cash flow projection, preparing Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, transaction accounting, analysis and control across the finance function of TAFE NSW.

Responsibilities

• Support financial control & treasury team in accounting, measurement and statutory/internal reporting.
• Perform cash flow projections and prepare Fringe Benefits Tax Returns.
• Handle transaction accounting and analyse financial data.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, Public Finance and Audit Act, Treasurer’s Directions, Fringe Benefits Tax, GST and other government regulations.
• Identify and analyse trends, review data and identify opportunities to improve systems or processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably pursuing CPA or CA qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, public finance regulation, GST, and related government policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy of accounts and compliance to current accounting standards.
• Capability to identify and analyse trends, review data, and improve processes.
