Position Details Position Title: Senior Consultant - Government Advisory - Transaction Advisory Number of Positions: 01 Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Reporting To: Senior Consultant / Engagement Manager Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 10+ Years Educational Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Public Policy, Engineering, Law, or related disciplines may apply for this position. Master's Degree (Preferred/Advantageous): Candidates with an MBA, M.A. in Economics, MPP, MPA, CFA, CA, ICWA, LLM, or related postgraduate qualifications will be preferred. Additional preference will be given to candidates possessing: Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, CPA, CMA, CS, or equivalent.
Certifications in valuation, financial modelling, project finance, or transaction advisory. Knowledge of public procurement, PPPs, disinvestment, and financial structuring. Membership of recognised professional bodies and institutions.
Specialized qualifications in infrastructure finance, policy, or public sector consulting Relevant Work Experience Candidates with 10+ years of progressive experience in transaction advisory, financial structuring, project appraisal, investment support, PPP advisory, government consulting, or public sector reform assignments are eligible to apply for this position. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in: Transaction advisory and deal structuring. Financial modelling and valuation.
Project feasibility and commercial assessment. Public-private partnership advisory. Due diligence and investment support.
Government disinvestment, asset monetisation, or concession support. Procurement and contract advisory. Strategic advisory for public sector institutions.
Experience in infrastructure, energy, mining, urban development, transport, health, education, or other government-linked sectors will be an added advantage Role Overview The Senior Consultant - Government Advisory - Transaction Advisory will provide technical and commercial leadership on transaction-based assignments for government departments, public sector undertakings, and implementation agencies. The role requires strong financial, strategic, and analytical capability, along with the ability to work on complex public sector transactions, investment structuring, and procurement-related advisory assignments. The selected candidate will support assignments involving project preparation, financial analysis, transaction structuring, bid process management, commercial due diligence, PPP frameworks, and stakeholder coordination across the public and private sectors.
Roles & Responsibilities Transaction Advisory & Technical Leadership Provide leadership on transaction advisory assignments involving project structuring, investment evaluation, commercial analysis, and deal execution support. Financial Modelling & Valuation Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, sensitivity assessments, and commercial feasibility studies for government and public sector projects. Project Structuring & Deal Support Support structuring of transactions, PPPs, concession models, lease frameworks, monetisation strategies, and investor engagement processes.
Due Diligence & Risk Assessment Conduct commercial, financial, operational, and strategic due diligence for public sector assets, projects, and investment opportunities. Assess key risks, assumptions, and transaction viability. Procurement & Bid Support Assist in drafting transaction documents, RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluation criteria, and concession agreements.
Support bid process management and procurement advisory. Policy & Government Advisory Advise government departments and public institutions on transaction frameworks, monetisation strategy, policy options, market sounding, and reform initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with government officials, lenders, investors, consultants, legal advisors, technical experts, and private sector participants to support project execution.
Commercial & Strategic Analysis Prepare commercial assessments, market analysis, sector scans, financial summaries, and strategic recommendations for decision-makers. Data Analysis & Technical Reporting Prepare and review transaction reports, feasibility notes, board presentations, investment decks, and management briefs. Capacity Building & Knowledge Transfer Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions on transaction advisory, financial structuring, and public sector deal management.
Field Assessments & Site Reviews Support site visits, project reviews, asset assessments, market consultations, and field verification exercises as required. Additional Project Responsibilities Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Engagement Manager or Senior Leadership in alignment with project requirements and organisational priorities. Skills Transaction Advisory : Strong understanding of government transactions, PPPs, asset monetisation, disinvestment, and concession structures.
Financial Modelling & Valuation : Proficiency in building financial models, valuation frameworks, and sensitivity analyses. Commercial Due Diligence : Experience in assessing market viability, transaction risks, and investment potential Public Sector Advisory : Ability to work on government reform, procurement, and strategic advisory assignments Project Structuring : Capability to design commercially sound and bankable transaction structures. Technical Report Writing : Strong capability in preparing transaction memos, feasibility reports, investment notes, and executive presentations.
Stakeholder Management : Ability to engage effectively with government officials, investors, lenders, legal teams, and technical advisors Competencies Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess complex commercial situations and develop practical transaction strategies. Analytical Excellence: Strong capability to analyse financial, commercial, legal, and operational information for informed decision-making. Problem Solving: Ability to identify transaction bottlenecks, commercial risks, and implementation challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
Leadership & Team Collaboration: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across technical, financial, legal, and advisory environments. Candidates with experience in consulting firms, investment advisory firms, public sector undertakings, government departments, infrastructure advisory organisations, or financial institutions will be strongly preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in PPPs, asset monetisation, financial appraisal, bid advisory, investment support, and stakeholder management. Travel & Mobility Requirements Willingness to travel extensively across project locations within Rajasthan and other states.
