DETAILS OF THE ROLE
Position Title: Associate Accountant
Experience: CA Fresher
Location: Mumbai (Dadar)
About us
We are looking for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. The role will provide exposure to financial accounting, taxation and statutory compliance, audit coordination, reconciliations, and MIS reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, analytical ability, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Assist in preparing and finalizing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial information.
Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring timely compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
- Assist in maintaining tax records and supporting documentation.
Audits
- Support internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required schedules, documents, and supporting information.
- Assist in addressing audit queries and closing audit requirements.
Reconciliations
- Perform regular bank, vendor, and customer ledger reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Ensure reconciliation statements and supporting documentation are properly maintained.
MIS Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely MIS reports for management review.
- Assist in variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior-period results.
- Highlight significant variances and provide relevant insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- CA – Fresher / Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Strong academic and accounting fundamentals.
- Candidates with relevant articleship exposure in financial accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance will be preferred.
- Should demonstrate a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good command of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
