Senior Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Test Planning & Governance: Lead test planning, scope definition, and status reporting in compliance with QA standards. - Analysis & Execution: Review technical specifications, design comprehensive test cases, and execute system, integration, regression, and E2E test cycles.

- Payments Testing: Lead testing of payment processing flows (batch runs, clearing, settlements) and validate integration points with Hogan and digital channels.

- Automation: Contribute to automation scripting and frameworks using JIRA and Confluence.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business SMEs, IT teams, and external vendors to communicate risks and support UAT.

Key Requirements

• Strong IT testing experience within financial services.
• Proven experience with Unibanks or similar core banking/payment systems.
• Deep understanding of transaction processing and financial data flows.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and test management tools.
• Knowledge of payment schemes (SEPA), mainframe technologies, or test automation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Mortgage servicing (billing, arrears, payments, product changes)
• Cost of credit calculations and
• Regulatory updates
• Loan sales
• Interpret regulatory requirements (e.g. CPC) and translate them into robust test scenarios and conditions
• Validate end-to-end customer journeys and mortgage lifecycle events

Customer Correspondence Validation

• Validate customer communications generated from Hogan, including:
• Cost of credit notifications
• Arrears and collections correspondence
• Statements
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and correct data population in all outputs
• Work closely with CCM and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and customer standards

Test Analysis & Design

• Review business and technical requirements (BRDs/FSDs)
• Define and prioritise test conditions, scenarios, and edge cases
• Create detailed, high-quality test scripts aligned to both functional and technical requirements
• Ensure full traceability between requirements and test cases

Test Execution & Quality Assurance

• Execute system, integration, and E2E testing across Hogan ecosystem
• Perform peer review of test scripts to ensure consistency and quality
• Manage test evidence, traceability, and documentation to meet audit requirements
• Ensure strict adherence to:
• Internal SDLC
• IT Test Standards and Procedures
• Validate that test entry and exit criteria are met before progression

Mainframe & Technical Validation

• VSAM files
• Batch job outputs
• NDM / FTP file transfers
• Validate data mapping, file structures, and extract logic
• Understand and assess:
• Daily batch cycles
• End-to-end data flows
• Integration across upstream and downstream systems

Integration & Cross-System Testing

• SMART, Unibanks, ILS, EDW, CCM
• Identify impacts, dependencies, and data touchpoints across systems
• Ensure full end-to-end validation of mortgage processing flows
