Job Description

1. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Manage compliances related to Factory Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, EPF, ESIC, and other applicable labour laws.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, renewals, and legal filings.

2. Contractor Compliance

  • Monitor statutory compliance of contract labour deployed at the factory.
  • Verify contractor licences, labour records, wage registers, PF & ESIC challans, and statutory documentation.
  • Ensure contractors comply with legal and company compliance requirements.

3. Factory Compliance & Audits

  • Coordinate internal, external, customer, and statutory compliance audits.
  • Prepare audit documentation and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure readiness for inspections by labour authorities and other government agencies.

4. Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain statutory registers, employee records, compliance documents, licences, and approvals.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record retention as per statutory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and compliance records.

5. Government Liaison

  • Coordinate with Labour Department, Factory Inspector, PF, ESIC, and other statutory authorities.
  • Facilitate inspections and ensure timely closure of observations.
  • Track statutory amendments and communicate changes to management.

6. HR Compliance & Reporting

  • Support payroll compliance by validating attendance, overtime, statutory deductions, and leave records.
  • Prepare monthly compliance MIS, audit reports, and management dashboards.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on labour law compliance, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, MSW, or MBA (HR).
  • 4–8 years of experience in Factory HR Compliance within a manufacturing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Act, CLRA, EPF, ESIC, Labour Laws, Statutory Compliance, and Contractor Compliance.
  • Experience in statutory audits, government inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and HRMS/ERP systems.
