Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Job Title: Instructor Beechwood Cl, Boghall Rd, Oldcourt, Bray, Co. Wicklow Permanent, 15 hours a week Salary starting from €36,455.15 (pro rata) with 14 increments to €61,581.27per annum (Pro rata), based on qualifications and experience Job Purpose The Skills for Education & Employment (QQI Level 4 Major Award in Employment or Retail Skills) course is in search of an instructor to support young adults facing additional challenges who may not yet feel prepared emotionally or personally for the demands of further education or employment.
The instructor will focus on assisting learners in managing anxiety, fostering self-confidence and self-management skills to promote their overall well-being. Responsibilities of the instructor include guiding learners through the training program as per the established local specifications, as well as overseeing the daily operations and upkeep of all aspects of the training programs. Additionally, the instructor will aid learners in exploring potential career paths and educational opportunities, helping them make informed vocational decisions that align with their goals for further education or employment.
Minimum Education & Experience required: * Third level qualification, preferably within the Education/Training or Social Sciences sector * A relevant pedagogical/training qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum * A number of years relevant occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts * Experience in working in a mental health related area is an advantage Job Duties & Responsibilities * Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, with responsibility for the instruction of a number of modules for QQI Level certification * Facilitate participants in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to secure progression outcomes Meet key performance indicators in relation to learner placement and progression and achievement of certification targets * As part of a team liaise appropriately with relevant key stakeholders in maintaining programme allocations. Assist Learners in reviewing previous experiences and exploring future goals, using a range of occupational interest, educational and problem solving techniques * Collaborate on the development of Individual Action Plans to support each Learner's progression, Evaluate the vocational rehabilitation needs of each Learner and produce a profile of those needs. Source and support work experience placements and instil by example and direct training, proper work attitudes and work behaviours.
