Voyage Optimization Analyst - Ship weather routing, Mumbai

Are you an ex- seaferer and sailed on board vessels with 3+ years of experience in Voyage management either in a ship operating business or as a digital/decarbonization service provider within the maritime industry? This is an exciting role for someone working with marine weather routing and voyage optimisation background to work for a market leading shipping company and have a sense of belonging to the vessels you would directly operate. Job Description: • Participate in building the optimization user interface and service delivery. • Set up the processes for the service delivery. • Test the Route Optimization tool to have the best outputs that is easy to understand for various stakeholders (at Sea and at shore). • Onboard vessels to the service and deliver the service to the vessels. • Train other members of the team on voyage optimization service delivery. • Analyze each passage and ensure the vessel is following the best route optimized for distance, speed, weather, etc • Handle multiple stakeholders and share insights for the suggested optimized routes.

Co-ordinate with customer / vessels and provide clarification as required to questions on the optimization. • Generate reports after the completion of the voyage to show the impact of the recommendations made Requirements: • Preferably from the deck side but anyone with 3+ years of experience in a similar role. • Good understanding of commercial performance- specifically good knowledge of impact of weather and routes. • Knowledge of IT will be helpful to understand the development side of product • Fluent in English, both oral and written. • Knowledge and ability to train other people
