Vice President - Business Head (Real estate Investments)

Vice President - Business Head (Investments) to lead the firm's business origination, transaction execution, and portfolio management functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and closing high-quality investment opportunities, managing strategic client relationships, leading a high-performing team, and representing the firm across the real estate and investment ecosystem. This role requires a strong blend of commercial acumen, investment judgment, leadership, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Origination & Relationship Management

Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the firm's investment objectives.

Originate structured debt and AIF investment opportunities with real estate developers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, investment bankers, IPC's and strategic intermediaries.

Create and manage a robust pipeline of investment opportunities.

Transaction Execution

Lead end-to-end execution of transactions from origination through financial close.

Structure financing solutions in collaboration with internal investment teams.

Negotiate commercial terms, transaction structures, security packages, and definitive documentation.

Coordinate with legal, technical, valuation, and other advisors to ensure seamless execution.

Drive transactions to successful closure while maintaining the highest standards of governance and risk management.

Investment Evaluation

Review financial models, project cash flows, and investment analyses prepared by the investment team.

Evaluate project viability, credit risks, and transaction structures.

Prepare and present investment proposals and recommendations before the Investment Committee (IC).

Portfolio Management

Monitor portfolio performance post-disbursement, including project progress, covenant compliance, and repayment schedules.

Identify emerging portfolio risks and recommend timely mitigation strategies.

Work closely with borrowers on restructuring, refinancing, or resolution initiatives, where required.

Provide periodic portfolio performance updates to senior management.

Leadership & Team Management

Lead team of 5-7 investment professionals.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.

Drive business performance through effective planning, coaching, and performance management.

7+ years of experience in real estate finance, structured credit, private credit, AIFs, investment banking, NBFCs, or real estate investment platforms.

Demonstrated track record of originating, structuring, and successfully closing real estate financing transactions.

Strong relationships within the real estate developer community and investment banking ecosystem.

Experience handling transactions ranging from 20 crore to 100 crore.

Sound understanding of structured finance, real estate lending, evaluation, and investment structuring.

Experience in portfolio monitoring and asset management.

Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

CA, CFA, or MBA from a reputed institution.

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication abilities.

Experience presenting investment opportunities before senior management and Investment Committees.

High standards of integrity, professionalism, and execution excellence.
