HC Truck Driver - Full-Time Permanent

Zappala Quarries Pty Ltd is a 100% locally owned and operated blue metal quarry seeking an experienced HC Truck and Dog Operator to join our team in a permanent, full-time position based at our Gordonvale quarry.
Reporting directly to the Onsite Manager, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient delivery of quarry materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and professionalism.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current HC (Heavy Combination) driver's licence
- At least 2-3 years of truck and dog experience
- A positive "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical and mental fitness to perform the duties of the role
- A reliable and motivated approach to work
- Front end loader experience desirable
Experience within the quarrying or construction industry is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily pre-start inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
- Transporting quarry materials to customer and project sites
- Completing daily timesheets, work orders, and maintenance reports accurately and on time
- Maintaining Drivers Daily Worksheets and other required documentation
- Following all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Identifying and reporting hazards and initiating corrective actions when required
- Keeping your allocated truck clean, tidy, and well maintained
- Working collaboratively with the team to achieve operational goals

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 6:00 am - 5:00 pm (including daily overtime) and Saturday roster
