The Opportunity
As a key member of the tax function, you'll support the delivery of the group's taxation obligations while partnering closely with finance teams across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing corporate income tax calculations and tax effect accounting.
- Assisting with BAS, GST, FBT and other indirect tax compliance obligations.
- Supporting month-end and year-end tax reporting requirements.
- Assisting with tax audits, ATO reviews and external advisor engagements.
- Contributing to transfer pricing documentation and international tax projects.
- Providing practical tax support to finance and operational stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance efficiencies across the tax function.
- Supporting a range of ad hoc tax and finance projects as the business continues to grow.
Key Requirements
To be successful, you will likely possess:
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification (or nearing completion)
- 2–5 years' experience across corporate tax, business services or tax compliance
- Exposure to FBT, GST and BAS
- Strong technical understanding of Australian tax legislation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
