Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counsellor (Study Abroad) role based in Tirur. The Student Counsellor will provide individualized counseling to students on overseas study options, including suitable countries, universities, and courses aligned with their academic background and career goals.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting counseling sessions, explaining application and admission processes, assisting with documentation, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely submission of applications. The role involves guiding students and families on visa procedures, financial requirements, scholarships, accommodation, and test preparation options such as IELTS or PTE. The Student Counsellor will also handle inquiries, maintain accurate student records, follow up with prospective students, participate in promotional activities or seminars, and uphold Ed-Hoc International’s commitment to ethical, student-centered guidance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling, with the ability to guide learners on education pathways and long-term career options.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, with the ability to explain complex processes in an accessible way.
- Customer Service skills to manage inquiries, build trust with students and families, and deliver a positive counseling experience.
- Background or strong interest in the Education sector, preferably with exposure to international higher education systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related fields are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Tirur, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain organized, accurate documentation.
- Comfort with using computers, CRM tools, and online communication platforms; prior experience in study abroad consulting is a plus.
- High ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and a student-first mindset focused on transparent and reliable guidance.
