About The Role

A rare part‑time opportunity exists to join our Brisbane based SMSF team. In this varied role you’ll work closely with our Associate Director and another part‑time Manager, to deliver high‑quality work and be the trusted point of contact for clients both internal and external, ensuring their SMSF and business needs are met with accuracy, confidence and care. We are open to considering varying levels of experience - from Senior Accountant or Supervisor through to Manager level.

You’ll mentor and support our fantastic team of accountants (based remotely in the Philippines), review financial statements, BAS and tax returns. You’ll also liaise with auditors, manage compliance obligations for your SMSF portfolio, and attend to business‑related matters, super tax planning and compliance related advice.

You’ll contribute to continuous improvement across the team, participate in training (and sometimes present it!), and help develop smarter systems and processes. As the main conduit between our offshore team and key internal stakeholders, you’ll have a genuine pathway for career progression.

About You

With at least four years’ experience in Australian SMSF accounting, you have experience supported junior team members, have experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns across SMSF, and feel comfortable engaging directly with clients. You’ve completed tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce (or similar), and previous experience with BGL 360 is essential.

You have a warm, open communication style and enjoy building strong working relationships. You bring a positive, solutions‑driven energy to your work and maintain a steady, organised approach.

You are naturally ambitious and driven and are happy to roll up your sleeves when needed, helping the team move forward together. You love being a trusted advisor, enjoy mentoring others, and genuinely care about producing high‑quality work that reflects well on you and the firm.

This role is located in Brisbane, and applicants must hold valid Australian working rights. While part‑time is our preference, we invite part‑time and full‑time candidates to apply.
