Senior Regulatory Analyst

Our client, a leading organisation in the energy sector, is recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Analyst to join a growing Procurement and Regulation team in a dynamic, purpose-driven energy business. The Senior Regulatory Analyst will play a key role in shaping regulatory strategy, strengthening compliance frameworks, and supporting business decisions in a fast-moving, highly regulated sector.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret developments from regulators, industry bodies, and government departments, assessing their impact on business operations and strategy. -
• Lead the preparation of consultation responses and regulatory submissions, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, assist in evidence collection, track findings, and drive the completion of regulatory actions.
• Oversee compliance monitoring to identify, escalation, and resolve issues related to license conditions, obligations, and industry standards.
• Provide regulatory advice, prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, and support the implementation of new requirements across the business.

Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years of experience within the energy sector, a regulated industry, or a policy/regulatory environment.
• A degree in Law, Policy, Economics, Compliance, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret regulation and translate it into practical business guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence producing reports, briefings, and stakeholder updates.
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a changing regulatory environment.
