ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Senior / Content Editor to join our editorial team. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing high-quality editorial content for entertainment while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the highest journalistic standards. You will also be responsible for anchoring shows, conducting interviews, and contributing to engaging entertainment content across print and digital platforms.

To ensure success, you should have excellent command over the English language, strong editorial judgment, exceptional storytelling abilities, and experience in entertainment journalism. Ultimately, a top-notch Senior Content Editor should be able to produce compelling content, meet editorial deadlines, and contribute to the organization's editorial vision.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the Editorial team to understand content requirements and editorial vision.

• Researching, writing, editing, and proofreading content for print and digital platforms.

• Reviewing articles and ensuring accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency before publication.

• Developing engaging headlines and content that aligns with editorial standards.

• Covering entertainment news, features, and industry updates.

• Conducting interviews with celebrities, industry professionals, and other prominent personalities.

• Anchoring editorial shows, video segments, and special features as required.

• Coordinating with reporters, writers, photographers, and production teams to ensure timely content delivery.

• Staying updated with current affairs, entertainment trends, and industry developments.

• Ensuring all content complies with the highest journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.

• Generating fresh story ideas and contributing to editorial planning.

• Meeting publishing deadlines while maintaining content quality and accuracy.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance audience engagement across platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in content editing, digital/print journalism.

• Strong background in digital.

• Experience covering the entertainment industry.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.

• Strong editorial, proofreading, and content management skills.

• Experience in anchoring shows or editorial video content.

• Ability to conduct interviews confidently with celebrities and industry professionals.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

• Creative thinking with exceptional storytelling skills.

• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems will be an added advantage.
