Audit Senior – Insurance Sector:

• 3-5 years
• Bengaluru
• Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior with a strong background in public accounting and specialized expertise in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience auditing property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies and a solid understanding of U.S. accounting and auditing standards. This role involves managing audit engagements, performing detailed testing, and delivering high-quality results within established timelines.

Qualification and Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years in public accounting audit, with a focus on insurance clients.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute audit engagements for insurance clients, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and US GAAS.
• Perform detailed testing and analysis of major transaction cycles for P&C insurance companies, including:
• Premiums/underwriting
• Claims and claim adjustment expenses (including actuarial estimates)
• Reinsurance contracts/treaties
• Investments
• Policy acquisition costs
• Audit US-domiciled captive insurance companies (preferred).
• Apply knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (NAIC) in audit procedures (preferred).
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Communicate audit issues, findings, and recommendations clearly to engagement leadership

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and US GAAS (required).
• Familiarity with NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles (preferred)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Leadership and team management capabilities to guide junior staff.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Industry Expertise:

• Experience auditing P&C insurance companies (required).
• Experience auditing captive insurance companies (preferred).

Location and way of working:

• Location: Bangalore
• Shift Timing: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (5-day work week)
