Overview

Piramal Pharma Solutions is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) offering end-to-end development and manufacturing solutions across the drug life cycle. We enable a globally integrated network of facilities in North America, Europe and Asia providing services including Drug Discovery Solutions, Process & Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Trial Supplies, and commercial supply of APIs and finished dosage forms. We also offer specialized services such as development and manufacture of Highly Potent APIs and Antibody Drug Conjugation.

The Sales & Operational Planning Leader serves as the subject matter expert for demand planning, supply response, network optimization, and capacity and resource planning. This role supports projects including demand plans, finite scheduling, consumption models, long-term capacity planning, network and production strategy optimization, and integration of new businesses/projects. It also provides support to the finance department for periodic reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate the S&OP process within a 24-month horizon at the site, including scenario planning and synthesis of data to support demand, supply, recon, and executive review cycles.
  • Facilitate planning discussions to gain consensus among functions and stakeholders.
  • Drive full utilization of ERP system (SAP) capabilities to automate supply chain activities and reporting.
  • Produce periodic S&OP reports including long-term capacity plans, utilization, and resource constraints.
  • Accountable for raw materials management processes, including forecasting, scheduling, working capital control and obsolescence.
  • Maintain a production plan to support a production schedule and identify material, asset, and manpower requirements.
  • Maintain S&OP/planning master data integrity to support cross-functional tools and systems.
  • Match demand and supply, and adjust plans/schedules to align with resource availability.
  • Optimize capacity plans to support S&OP (24-month) and longer-term business planning.
  • Identify excess or shortage of capacity/manpower and take proactive actions to address production and customer delivery issues.
  • Drive profitability through optimization of capacity utilization.
  • Propose scenarios/trade-offs at recon/exec reviews to facilitate capacity allocation decisions among projects.
  • Ensure forecasts are captured and aligned within capacity, and reviewed in supply response meetings to optimize capacity and revenue as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure capacity planning considers all demand signals and constraints.
  • Maintain risk, contingency, and countermeasure plans to meet OTIF and financial commitments.
  • Provide insights and reports on capacity utilization, demand/supply gaps, and scenario/contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with partner functions to optimize delivery, productivity, and cost.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales and operations planning (S&OP) and capacity planning within a manufacturing/CDMO environment.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and the ability to automate supply chain activities and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain production plans, master data, and cross-functional data integrity.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data and present scenarios for executive decision making.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
