Job Title Sales Manager – Wind Energy (Montréal) Position Overview Based in Montréal, the Sales Manager – Wind Energy is responsible for driving commercial growth in the renewable energy sector by developing strategic sales plans, expanding the customer base, and strengthening the company’s competitive position. This role requires strong communication skills in both English and French , along with the ability to manage complex sales cycles and collaborate across technical and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities Lead sales activities for assigned regions, customer groups, and market segments as defined by company leadership.
Identify and develop new wind energy business opportunities with developers, independent power producers, utilities, and investment groups through research, outreach, meetings, and industry engagement. Act as a primary contact for managing detailed sales proposals, including preparation of documentation, NDAs, technical compliance reviews, and RFP/RFI/RFQ responses. Conduct competitive cost‑of‑energy (COE) and financial modeling to evaluate project economics and benchmark against industry alternatives.
Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Service teams to structure proposals that deliver maximum customer value. Support leadership during internal reviews, approval processes, commercial presentations, and contract negotiations for turbine supply and long‑term service agreements. Manage customer communication, maintain accurate reporting, and ensure the smooth flow of information throughout the entire sales process.
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Travel to customer sites and project locations as needed (approximately 30%). Qualifications & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (required).
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Proven capability to work with customers across executive, commercial, technical, and development functions. Technical proficiency enabling the review of engineering information and execution of economic/financial modeling.
Understanding of project management concepts, budgeting, commercial risk, and contract processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional languages are an asset.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; or equivalent technical aptitude and work experience. MBA is an advantage but not required. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of experience in sales, technical sales, or sales support.
Experience in renewable energy, power generation, or related industrial sectors is highly valued. Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving eligibility criteria. Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits (approximately 30% of time).
