GSAS Micro Systems India

BengaluruFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

About the Role

As Sales Manager for EDA, you will hold single-point accountability for electronic design automation revenue across India and serve as the primary interface between GSAS and our EDA partner, Siemens EDA. The portfolio spans PCB design across enterprise and professional tiers, signal and power integrity (SI/PI) analysis, design-for-manufacturability (DFM) validation and manufacturing preparation, integrated circuit (IC) physical verification, silicon test and yield, and custom IC design. Your role is to translate partner strategy into sales execution in the Indian market, build a predictable pipeline, and grow the key accounts that will define this business line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the EDA revenue target across India and build a pipeline that delivers predictable quarterly results, with clear visibility into deal stages, timelines, and risks.
  • Manage the Siemens EDA partnership at the India level, including joint business planning, quarterly business reviews, deal registration, pricing escalations, co-marketing, partner certifications, and product roadmap feedback.
  • Develop and execute the SMB market GTM - identifying the verticals, account tiers, and regions with the highest-value opportunity, and building competitive displacement plans for rival PCB and IC design tools.
  • Build and grow the accounts that will generate the majority of EDA revenue, spanning semiconductor design houses, automotive Tier-1 suppliers, aerospace and defense design centers, telecom original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and contract electronics manufacturers, cultivating relationships from the design engineer through to the engineering vice president and procurement.
  • Coordinate deal execution with the Application Engineering team so that each opportunity has the right Field Application Engineer (FAE) engaged at the right stage, with you owning the commercial relationship and the FAEs owning the technical engagement.
  • Drive cross-sell across other GSAS business lines, working with the test and measurement (T&M) and embedded software teams to convert opportunities within your accounts, such as validation instruments for a PCB customer or embedded tools for a semiconductor reference platform.
  • Maintain the EDA pipeline in the CRM to partner-grade standards, including deal registration compliance, accurate stage progression, reliable forecasts, and thorough win/loss and competitive documentation.
  • Make the data-backed case for team growth, using pipeline coverage, deal velocity, and technical support utilization to justify additional FAEs and inside sales support as the business scales.
  • Represent GSAS at industry events, including Electronica India, the VLSI Design Conference, partner technology days, and customer workshops.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of B2B technology sales experience. Direct experience in EDA tool sales is preferred (gained either at an EDA vendor (such as Siemens EDA/Mentor, Cadence, Synopsys, Altium, or Zuken) or an EDA channel and distribution partner.
  • A strong working understanding of EDA sales cycles, including evaluation-driven engagements, competitive benchmarks, named-account territory models, and licensing structures such as perpetual, subscription, token-based, and floating licenses.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to hold a credible conversation with a design director about the value of enterprise PCB tools, SI/PI analysis, DFM validation, and IC physical verification signoff, without needing to run Caliber decks or route interfaces personally.
  • A clear understanding of how sales motions differ across buyer profiles, for example, selling a PCB tool to a five-person startup versus an IC verification suite to a 200-person semiconductor design center.
  • Demonstrated success managing OEM or channel partner relationships, including joint business planning, pipeline reviews, deal registration, co-selling, and escalation management.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving design engineers, CAD administrators, IT infrastructure teams, engineering management, and procurement, with cycles ranging from three months to more than a year.
  • A proven record of building a pipeline in competitive markets, including displacing incumbents, defending against competitive evaluations, and expanding accounts beyond their initial purchase.
  • Strong CRM discipline and accurate, data-driven forecasting, with pipeline data that is review-ready for both GSAS leadership and the partner.
  • A bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and to conduct regular on-site customer visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Tech in a related discipline. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Direct experience selling or supporting Siemens EDA tools such as Caliber or Xpedition.
  • An established network within India's semiconductor, automotive electronics, aerospace, and defense design community.
  • Familiarity with government, defense, and public-sector procurement processes for engineering software.

What We Offer

  • Full ownership of GSAS's EDA business line, in a market growing rapidly on the back of semiconductor investment, rising automotive electronics complexity, defense modernization, and the shift from free tools to enterprise-grade platforms.
  • A portfolio that includes the industry standard for IC physical verification, the market leader in silicon test, and a PCB platform trusted by leading electronics companies worldwide.
  • Direct engagement with GSAS senior leadership and with Siemens EDA's India and APAC teams, supported by a dedicated team of specialized Field Application Engineers.
  • Competitive compensation with substantial performance-linked incentives tied to revenue targets.
  • A clear path to EDA business unit leadership as the business scales.
