Sales Manager

Group Tours Sales Manager required for this pioneering adventure travel company. 12-month fixed term contract. 40K basic salary plus 20K OTE (paid from month 1 based on current team performance) London-based with 2 days in the office per week and 3 from home.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Group Tours Sales team, ensuring revenue goals are consistently achieved.
• Coach staff on pipeline control, conversion, customer service and professional growth.
• Monitor quotations and bookings for accuracy, profitability and payment status.
• Deliver sales training while improving internal procedures, systems and team efficiency.
• Support the development of Group Tour extensions and bespoke Private Journeys.
• Manage rotas, distribute enquiries and provide cover for the Tailor-made Sales Manager when needed.
• Conduct performance reviews and contribute to employee development.
• Work with sustainability colleagues on responsible tourism, carbon reduction, plastic reduction and B Corp initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

• Successful sales leadership experience within the travel sector.
• At least two years in a senior travel-sales position.
• Strong people-management, coaching and target-delivery abilities.
• Good destination knowledge and understanding of travel itineraries.
• Excellent planning, organisation, communication and attention to detail.
• Strong customer-service skills and confidence working independently.
• Understanding of adventure-travel customers.
• Commitment to ethical and sustainable tourism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM technology and tour-operation systems.
• Genuine passion for travel and creating high-quality customer experiences.
