Job Description Job Description Overview and Purpose of the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurses to join our dynamic perioperative team. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Working alongside a skilled and supportive interdisciplinary team, you will help guide patients safely and compassionately through every stage of their surgical journey.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: Actively participate as a key member of the surgical team, performing both scrub and circulating duties in accordance with ORNAC standards and best practices. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote clear communication and seamless coordination of patient care.
Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement by supporting additional duties and special projects as assigned. Corporate Responsibilities: Participate in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, company Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines. Education, Skills & Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program Current Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Operating Room Certificate (or equivalent experience) required.
One year recent operating room experience preferred. Knowledge of ORNAC standards of practice. Demonstrated competence in orthopaedic surgeries including total joint replacement is an asset Current BCLS certification Demonstrated good organizational and problem solving skills in stressful situations.
Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check/vulnerable sector check Provide proof of Immunization and TB records Join Our Team: Schroeder Ambulatory Centre is a non-profit medical facility dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Ontarians through accessible, outpatient healthcare.
