Job Description
Join the vital team as a Registered Nurse in Children’s Intensive Services. Deliver effective nursing care for children with serious emotional challenges while ensuring a supportive family approach. In this permanent full-time position, the RN will engage in comprehensive assessment and treatment strategies for children under 13.
Utilizing the Collaborative Problem-Solving model, you will work proactively with families and interdisciplinary colleagues to cultivate adaptive skills. This includes ongoing evaluations and the critical oversight of care plans to facilitate successful transitions. Key Responsibilities: • Provide holistic nursing assessments for children • Monitor and assess medication efficacy • Participate in collaborative care planning • Support child care staff with clinical direction • Engage families in the treatment process Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing mandatory • Eligibility with Nova Scotia College of Nursing • BLS Certification completed within 12 months • Minimum one year of psychiatric nursing experience • Strong commitment to Family Centred Care required Foster positive mental health outcomes for vulnerable youth while adapting to their unique needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
