The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Accountant to join our team.
Our Cootamundra office is a valued part of the local community, offering a supportive, down-to-earth team culture where high standards, hard work and work–life balance are all respected.
The preferred location for this role is our Cootamundra office. However, for the right applicant, we are open to candidates located elsewhere in NSW or the ACT, with hybrid working arrangements available.
You will work closely with clients and team members across all divisions, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services while contributing to the continued growth and success of our clients and firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, SMSF’s and partnerships
- Preparation and review of Business Activity Statements and other compliance requirements
- Providing taxation and business advisory services to a diverse client base
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting clients with business planning, cash flow management and performance reporting
- Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
- Supporting senior team members with advisory and consulting engagements
Attributes, Skills & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion)
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in public practice accounting
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office
- Experience with accounting practice management software advantageous
