Project Group Manager (Northern Ireland)
Location:
Belfast, with regular travel across Northern Ireland service locations and occasional travel to Dublin-based services.Salary: £42,060.66 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (typically Monday to Friday)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Project Group Manager to lead a portfolio of innovative, person-centred services supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, social exclusion and complex needs across Northern Ireland.
This senior management role will oversee a range of community-based services, including Housing First programmes, support services for women transitioning from custody, and projects supporting individuals with complex and multiple needs. Working within a trauma-informed, harm reduction and housing-led framework, you will provide leadership that enables people to achieve stability, secure housing and successfully reconnect with their communities.
The Role
As Project Group Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to a number of service teams across Northern Ireland. You will support managers to deliver high-quality, person-centred services while ensuring compliance, financial accountability and positive outcomes for service users.
You will also develop and maintain strong partnerships with statutory and community stakeholders, helping to shape service delivery and contribute to wider sector developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support Local Management Teams across multiple services.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of service users and align with best practice standards.
- Monitor service performance, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Manage operational budgets and ensure effective financial governance.
- Represent the organisation with key stakeholders, including housing, justice, health and community agencies.
- Participate in organisational planning and service development initiatives.
- Contribute to a 24/7 on-call management rota.
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria
Option 1
- Relevant Level 5 qualification in Social Care, Housing, Health, Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' management experience within homelessness, housing or complex needs services.
OR
Option 2
- Minimum 5 years' management experience in homelessness, housing or complex needs services.
Additionally, You Will Have
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing staff teams.
- Experience managing operational budgets and resources.
- Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, harm reduction approaches and housing-led models.
- Excellent communication, report-writing and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead teams through service growth, change and development.
Additional Requirements
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
- Registered with, or willing to register with, the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).
