DESIGN ENGINEER

Our client is a leading Engineering company designing and producing a range of bespoke products for some of the worlds largest companies. As a result of expansion they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Design Engineer to join their existing Design Team and work on a range of Client led represents an excellent opportunity to develop your career with an excellent employer.

THE ROLE

• The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with customers and produce innovative 3D designs for new products and amendments to existing products.
• These designs should consider the manufacturing process to aid ease of manufacture and provide a balance between functionality and aesthetics.
• Ensure that products fully comply with all regulatory compliance and safety legislation.

THE PERSON

• Hold a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Design Engineering or alternatively a lesser qualification if can demonstrate considerable practical experience.
• A minimum of 1 year working in either a Manufacturing or Engineering environment with strong design skills
• Solid experience in using at least one major design software package ie Solid works, Catia, Pro E etc
• A strong problem solver able to come up with innovative designs to overcome Engineering issues
• Excellent communication skills both orally and written
• Strong personal skills to assist customer interaction

SALARY

A highly competitive package is available for the successful candidate dependent on the level of relevant experience.
