About the role: We are looking for someone who combines deep qualitative research expertise with genuine commercial instinct. As Product Owner for Qualitative Research, you will own the build and go-to-market of ZoomRx's conversational, AI-moderated qual platform β€” a product that exists and works but hasn't yet been taken to market. This role is perfect for you if you've spent years in pharma qualitative research and found yourself increasingly frustrated that research findings don't move as fast as they should into commercial decisions.

You want to change that. You want to own the product, set the research standard, and build the case that makes BD confident enough to bring you into their best deals. You'll work at the intersection of research, product, and commercial β€” collaborating with BD, engineering, and product leadership.

If you find more satisfaction from changing how a client thinks about a problem than from perfecting the discussion guide, and you take more enjoyment from building things than what your peers think is normal, this role is for you. Roles/Responsibilities: Partner with BD to shape and pitch qual research approaches to pharma clients across launch, lifecycle management, and market access contexts. Design and moderate asynchronous, AI-driven depth interviews with HCPs, patients, and payers.

Translate qual findings into commercial narratives that drive client decisions β€” not just decks Own the Conversational Surveys product roadmap: decide what gets built, what gets cut, and why. Source and run pilots with BD's target accounts; debrief findings directly with client teams Evangelize the platform internally β€” build the BD team's confidence through demo sessions, case examples, and sharp one-pagers. Set and hold the research quality bar for the qual team in Chennai.

Experiment with new AI moderation approaches and define metrics to measure their impact on data depth and participant experience. Qualifications (Non-Negotiable): 7–12 years in qualitative pharma research β€” agency, in-house, or both. Proven track record of building something: a research practice, a methodology, a product track β€” not just delivering client briefs.

Clear point of view on where pharma qual is going, especially in an AI-native research environment. Ability to communicate complex research findings to commercial audiences in plain language. Experience working alongside BD, sales, or commercial teams β€” not just research teams.

Assertive and high-bar: holds a standard, pushes back with evidence, doesn't wait for permission. Comfortable in fast-paced environments where the playbook doesn't exist yet. Familiarity with AI-moderated or async research tools, or genuine drive to get there fast.
