Overview Principal Electrical Engineer - HV/MV Technical Specialist | Dublin We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer with strong high-voltage (HV/MV) expertise to join our Dublin team. This role combines technical leadership, consultancy, and project delivery, supporting complex projects across data centres, life sciences, food, and medtech sectors. You will act as a subject matter expert, leading the design of HV/MV electrical systems, advising clients on power infrastructure strategies, and ensuring delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Lead design and specification of HV/MV systems (substations, transformers, distribution) Deliver power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) Provide client consultancy (feasibility, due diligence, infrastructure strategy) Ensure compliance with IEC/EN standards and best practice Support multidisciplinary project delivery, design reviews, and risk management Act as a key technical interface with clients, utilities, and vendors Qualifications Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering 10-15+ years' experience in HV/MV design and consultancy Strong knowledge of HV systems, standards, and power modelling tools (Caneco, ETAP, SKM) Experience in industrial, data centres or life sciences projects Chartered (or working towards) preferred Excellent technical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Why Join our team?
