About the Opportunity We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a global leader in business transformation and digital services to appoint a Director of Sales Operations for one of its most significant strategic technology partnerships. This is a unique executive leadership opportunity to oversee a large-scale commercial operation supporting a globally recognised technology client.
As the senior regional leader, you will be accountable for the commercial success, operational excellence and overall performance of a multi-layered sales organisation comprising more than 320 professionals. Reporting into senior executive leadership, you will partner closely with your client's regional leadership team to shape strategy, drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional commercial outcomes. This role is ideally suited to an accomplished leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of leading large commercial operations through high-performing leadership teams.
The Role As Director of Sales Operations, you will provide strategic leadership for the regional business, creating the environment that enables teams to maximise commercial performance. While day-to-day programme execution is led by an experienced Operations Lead, your focus will be on executive stakeholder management, commercial governance, organisational strategy, people leadership and ensuring the business has the structure, resources and support required to achieve its objectives. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening client relationships, driving continuous improvement and ensuring operational excellence across every aspect of the programme.
Key Responsibilities Executive Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary executive partner to the client's regional leadership team, building trusted relationships and ensuring an exceptional client experience. Partner with senior internal stakeholders to align strategic priorities and drive successful business outcomes. Collaborate with global leadership teams to share best practice, introduce innovation and leverage expertise from across the wider organisation.
Lead executive governance meetings and maintain strong stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business. Strategic Leadership Translate regional business objectives into an operational strategy that supports commercial growth and long-term success. Identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness, operational performance and client satisfaction.
Remove barriers that impact business performance and revenue generation. Represent the region within global leadership forums and strategic initiatives. Commercial & Operational Leadership Hold overall accountability for regional operational performance and commercial governance.
Oversee programme financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and resource planning in partnership with Finance. Review contractual changes, workforce planning and operational investment to ensure alignment with business objectives. Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance and other corporate functions to maintain a high-performing organisation.
Leadership & Talent Development Lead and develop a senior leadership team comprising an Operations Lead and three Functional Leaders. Coach and mentor leaders to enhance performance, leadership capability and succession planning. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Ensure the business attracts, develops and retains exceptional leadership talent. About You To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in leading complex, large-scale sales or customer operations. You will bring: Significant experience leading large commercial, sales or customer operations within a complex organisational environment.
Demonstrated success leading senior managers responsible for large, multi-layered teams. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing operational budgets and business performance. Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executive-level clients and internal stakeholders.
Experience driving operational excellence, organisational transformation and continuous improvement. Outstanding leadership, communication and influencing skills. The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Experience within technology, digital advertising, consulting, business process outsourcing, managed services or customer operations environments will be highly advantageous. Why Apply?
