Job Description
At Brezo Energy, we are Technology Developers & Project Managers focused on Floating Platforms, Mooring Systems, and Marine Operations for the Floating Offshore Wind Power Industry. We have developed the CROWN FW Technology, a solution designed for worldwide industrialization.
We are looking for an Offshore Wind Engineer with around 2 years of experience to join our team and support the development of offshore engineering and design projects, mainly focused on floating offshore wind. The role may also involve participation in other offshore projects related to aquaculture, marine renewable energy, and oil & gas.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the engineering development of floating offshore wind projects.
- Perform and review seakeeping, hydrodynamic, and floating system analyses.
- Support mooring system design and station keeping analyses.
- Carry out structural calculations and support offshore component verification.
- Assess environmental loads, metocean data, and offshore design criteria.
- Prepare design basis documents, calculation notes, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- Use engineering tools such as ANSYS Mechanical, OrcaFlex, AQWA, or similar software.
- Develop scripts and post-processing tools using Python and MATLAB.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams on national and international offshore projects.
Requirements
- Masterβs degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Degree must be officially recognized/homologated in Spain.
- Valid work permit in Spain.
- Around 2 years of experience in offshore engineering, naval architecture, structural design, hydrodynamics, or related fields.
- Knowledge of floating systems, mooring systems, seakeeping, environmental loads, metocean data, and design basis development.
- Experience with ANSYS Mechanical, OrcaFlex, AQWA, or equivalent engineering software.
- Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB.
- High level of technical English.
Valuable Skills
- Experience in floating offshore wind projects.
- Knowledge of offshore standards such as DNV, IEC, API, Eurocodes, or similar.
- Experience in structural analysis, coupled dynamic simulations, or marine operations engineering.
- Strong analytical skills, proactivity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
