Employment Terms
Tenure Track; 10-month school year Full-time; eligible for health insurance benefits Position is associated with the terms and conditions of the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education.
Reports To
Supervisor of Special Services/Principal/Director of Student Personnel Services
Job Goals
To provide an approved middle school education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help students develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members
Qualifications
Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Elementary K-6 Certification or Content Area Specialization Grades 5-8 preferred
Requirements
- New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
- Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required of all applicants offered employment.
Evaluation
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Education Association of Paramus.
