Marketing & Community Manager- Yokocho

‘Yokocho’ is an Eastern Bar & BBQ in Park Street, Kolkata, inspired by the back alleys of Asia. In Japan, a Yokocho is an alley packed with izakayas. In India, it's a khau-gali.

Hong Kong has dai pai dongs, Singapore has hawker centres, Vietnam has hẻms. We've eaten our way through all of them- from Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur to Kyoto- and built Yokocho around what makes them work: dumplings and rice bowls, charcoal grills, regional beers, plastic chairs, loud aunties, and the feeling that something delicious is always 30 seconds away. We're looking for someone to help shape how Yokocho shows up- online, on the floor, and in the city.

THE ROLE You'll be the connective tissue between marketing, operations, and the community we're building. Day-to-day: · Own the social media calendar- ideate, plan, ship · Coordinate with our agency and internal team on content, campaigns, and brand communication · Plan and execute events- from concept through pre-event prep to post-event wrap-up · Engage with regulars, welcome new guests, build relationships that bring people back · Bridge management and the floor- translate priorities, escalate issues, keep everyone aligned · Jump in during busy service when the floor needs hands YOU'LL DO WELL HERE IF · You actually go out in Kolkata and know what's happening — which bars are working, which chefs are doing interesting things, where the scene is going · You can write a caption that sounds like a person, not a brand · You can walk onto a noisy floor mid-service and figure out what needs to happen without being told · You're comfortable being on camera, behind a camera, behind a spreadsheet, and behind the bar — sometimes in the same evening. · You have your own opinions about food and drink and aren't shy about them BONUS · Background in hospitality, events, or a creative agency · You shoot/edit your own content LOGISTICS · Full-time, on-ground at Yokocho, Park Street, Kolkata · Evenings and weekends are part of the job- this is hospitality · Compensation based on experience To apply: send a short note about yourself, a few examples of work or projects you've been part of, and what excites you about this role to .
