What you will do: As aManager of Engineering, you will beaccountable for the overall engineeringandtechnical health ofsolutionswithin this domain areaand engineering talent management within and acrossyourteams.
A Manager of Engineering willpossesssignificant Engineering Management experience and is expected todemonstrateleadership competenciesas aleader-of-leaders. As the leader of multiple teams, they have a strong focus on coaching, mentoring,developingand growing engineering talent, and championing an engineering mindset, agile practices and adherence to Company and industry standards. You will alsobe responsible forestablishingand executing the strategy, defining platforms/capabilities, building and leading cross-functional teams, and communicatingtomanysenior level stakeholders.
This role will lead teams that will help with maturing various business and technical capabilities across the TJX India Office.Core responsibilities will include leadingteamsthrough technology modernization,establishand enforce engineering bestpractices, drivedelivery againsttechnology roadmaps supporting lifecycle management and design/identify solutions supporting businessobjectivesand practices. You will work in a fast-paced environment which will challenge you to think creatively andexhibitan agile mindset. All the solution delivery work will be done within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Leader-of-leaders with advanced engineering leadership competencies Engineering leader of TJX GlobalWorkforce Managementsolutions, technology, and innovation roadmap Direct people management responsibility forengineering managers andengineers at varying level of seniority Coaches, leads, and develops talent Represents the product team as a member of Engineering Community of Practice Partners with stakeholders to drive technical solutions that meet business needs Ensures mechanisms for technical oversight are in place Ensures best engineering practices are followed/adopted for operational excellence Partners with stakeholders to ensure roadmaps & strategies align to architectural standards Contributes to high level architecture to drive engineering & operational excellence Accountable for product health anddeliveryon engineering operational targets First point of contact for strategic requests from a technology perspective Acts as an escalation point for issues related to delivery of technical components Technical oversight of design, development, and deploymentGlobal Workforce Managementintegrationsandsolutions Ensures adherence to software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and securecodingstandards Ensures compliance withSOX, GDPR, and other relevant regulatory standards Ensures implementation of robust security practices across all solutions Partners,managesandchallenges vendors. Analyzetechnologytrends andinfluencefuture strategic direction. Minimum Qualifications Total experience needed 16-21years ofprofessional software engineering experience 7-8years leading and developing teams as a manager Strong teammanagement and organization skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct a global workgroup Strong performancemanagement skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members across multiple levels accountable for commitments Experience withWorkforce ManagementSolutionsin the Retail space Well versed inDevSecOpsbest practices andexperiencewith Cloud Technologies Proventrack recordof experience withbuilding andsupportingscalable, high-performance applications StrongExperience with agile delivery model Strongproblem solvingability Proven experience recruitingand onboarding associates.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors orMastersdegree in computer science,engineeringor a related field Proven experience withIntegrated Workforce Management solutions(e.g.UKG Pro, Workday, Labor Standards, Budgeting & Planning,Workjametc.) Deep understanding ofIntegrated Workforcetechnologies. Strong understanding of retail operations, in-store technologies, andassociate experience Experience withApplication integration;UKG Boomi, Boomi, DataStage,APIs,SaaSsolutionsand cloud platforms (e.g.OCI, AWS, Azure) SAFE Agile Certifications are a plus. Exposure todiverseportfolio of applications is a plus.
