Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Maintenance

• Lead the complete Engineering & Maintenance function across manufacturing facilities.
• Develop preventive, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
• Improve equipment reliability and maximize plant uptime.
• Drive asset lifecycle management and maintenance cost optimization.
• Monitor engineering KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability and breakdown analysis.
• Ensure statutory compliance for all engineering assets.

Capital Projects

• Lead Brownfield Expansion Projects from concept to commissioning.
• Manage project planning, scheduling and execution.
• Drive CAPEX planning and budget management.
• Coordinate with Process, Production, QA, QC, EHS, Procurement and external consultants.
• Oversee equipment selection, vendor development and technical evaluations.
• Ensure successful installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and handover.

Utilities Management

Responsible for efficient operation and maintenance of:

• HVAC Systems
• Chillers
• Boilers
• Cooling Towers
• Air Compressors
• Nitrogen Systems
• Purified Water Systems
• WFI Systems (where applicable)
• Electrical Distribution Systems
• DG Sets
• Instrumentation & Automation
• Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure Engineering compliance with cGMP guidelines.
• Support regulatory inspections by USFDA, PMDA, EU-GMP, WHO-GMP, EDQM, ANVISA and other international agencies.
• Maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, calibration systems and change controls.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Environment and Quality standards.

Operational Excellence

• Lead TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Drive Energy Conservation and Cost Optimization projects.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Identify automation opportunities for productivity enhancement.

Leadership

• Lead and mentor Engineering, Utilities, Maintenance and Project teams.
• Build technical capability across departments.
• Drive employee engagement and succession planning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Location

Candidate will be based at our Saykha Manufacturing Facility, Bharuch, Gujarat, and will be responsible for providing engineering leadership across both the Saykha (Gujarat) and Roha (Maharashtra) manufacturing plants. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Master's Degree (Engineering/Management) will be an added advantage.

Experience Required

• 15–20 years of experience in Engineering, Maintenance & Projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Mandatory experience in API/Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Hands-on exposure to Brownfield Expansion Projects.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections including USFDA, PMDA, EU-GMP, WHO-GMP and other international agencies.
