Job Description
IT Finance Analyst Position Summary We are seeking a strong Analyst to support PCO, Governance, and IT Finance activities within a Technology organization. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Montreal or Toronto, with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the downtown office. The successful candidate will work closely with Technology leadership, Finance teams, and project stakeholders to support financial governance, reporting, budgeting, and planning activities across the IT portfolio.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities IT Financial Management & Reporting Manage project financial reporting including budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, and monthly financial reporting. Monitor and track project spending across the IT portfolio.
Support monthly financial reviews and provide insights on project and operational expenditures. Analyze financial trends, risks, and variances, and recommend corrective actions where required. Annual IT Financial Planning Coordinate the annual IT financial planning and budgeting process.
Work closely with Finance and Technology leaders to validate assumptions, forecasts, and spending priorities. Maintain accurate tracking of actuals versus budget throughout the fiscal year. Assist leadership teams in making informed financial and operational decisions.
Governance & Stakeholder Coordination Support governance activities related to IT financial controls and portfolio oversight. Prepare executive-level reporting materials and dashboards. Coordinate with project managers, finance partners, and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial objectives and reporting accuracy.
Ensure adherence to internal governance standards and reporting timelines. Qualifications Strong experience in financial analysis, IT finance, PMO/PCO, or governance functions. Experience supporting technology or IT organizations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with project financial management, forecasting, and budgeting processes. Location Montreal or Toronto Hybrid model: minimum 3 days/week in office (downtown)
