Job Description
Purpose of the role Manage the Investment Division’s own financial operations: budget management, expense tracking, fee reconciliation across all external managers and custodians, NAV reconciliation for fund investments, and financial reporting to the Group finance department. Also serve as the division’s Addepar operations analyst, managing daily reconciliation workflows. Key responsibilities Manage the Investment Division’s annual budget (SAR 5.87M): track actual spend vs budget by category, prepare monthly management accounts for the CEO/CIO.
Reconcile external manager and custodian fees quarterly: compare actual fee debits against contracted fee schedules in IMAs, flag overcharges, and pursue recoveries. Manage daily Addepar reconciliation: review the exception queue, investigate and resolve breaks with custodians, process alternative fund document updates (from Canoe), and maintain data quality. Reconcile fund NAVs: compare Addepar-recorded NAVs against fund administrator statements, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy for performance reporting.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts: expected capital calls, distributions, fee payments, and liquidity requirements across all portfolio clusters. Coordinate with Group Finance on investment accounting entries, inter-company transactions, and consolidated reporting. Manage the SAP integration: ensure investment transactions are properly reflected in the Group’s SAP financial system.
Prepare tax-related workings for Jersey/Cayman structures, ZATCA compliance, and withholding tax reclaims. Support the annual external audit of the Investment Division’s financial statements. Qualifications and experience 5–8 years of experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or financial management at an asset manager, fund administrator, or family office.
Strong understanding of fund accounting: NAV calculation, capital account allocation, fee computation, performance return calculation. Experience with fee reconciliation and fee verification across multiple fund structures and custodians. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with Addepar and SAP preferred.
Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or commerce. Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
