Job Description
Director, National Accounts
Location: Vancouver – 400 Burrard St, 7th Floor. Employment Type: Regular (37.5 weekly hours).
Compensation
Pay range: $125,000 - $150,000 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a banking partner, delivering flexible business solutions and timely advice to help clients realize their goals.
- Actively lead and guide team members in managing client relationships, including delivery of credit, cash management, and ancillary services.
- Create an environment that supports partnering behavior and capitalizes on team expertise to deliver best‑in‑class service.
- Lead business development activities, building, solidifying, and fostering relationships with prospective and key CIBC clients and representing CIBC in the business community.
- Engage in marketing and outreach activities to impact the community and demonstrate client appreciation.
- Develop new client relationships through business‑development activities, leveraging referral sources, existing clients, and centers of influence.
- Connect clients with opportunities, building a local business profile that translates into effective working relationships.
- Structure, negotiate, and document credit, cash management, and ancillary product arrangements to meet client needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial banking with proven business‑development skills.
- Advanced knowledge of risk and credit portfolio management and highly developed negotiating skills.
- Proven selling skills with the ability to identify financial advisory and M&A opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address deteriorating credit issues.
- Client‑first mindset with well‑developed client and relationship‑management skills.
- Established profile in the local business community and knowledge of a diverse marketplace.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Commitment to the values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
